Chitrangada Singh unveils her first Vogue cover

Bollywood actress, Chitrangada Singh and Priya Tanna, Editor, Vogue India launched the latest issue of Vogue India at the Crossword store at Kemps Corner in Mumbai on Monday. In a tête-à-tête with Priya Tanna, the sensual Chitrangada Singh candidly spoke about her feelings on being the May 2012 Vogue cover girl. She also revealed some interesting things about herself, her interests and what makes Chitrangada the woman she is today.

Sharing her thoughts on the issue, Priya Tanna, Editor, Vogue India commented, “Chitrangada is a woman of many faces, each one equally enigmatic and beguiling. She struck us with her earthy sensuality when she first appeared on the screen, and when you least expected it, she blazed across Bollywood in an avatar of high octane glamour. This dichotomy makes her as intriguing as interesting and an exciting choice for a Vogue cover girl.”

Commenting on being Vogue cover girl for the May 2012 issue, Chitrangada Singh said, “Vogue is the most iconic name in the history of fashion so to be on the cover of Vogue will without doubt be one of the most memorable things for me. As it’s my first Vogue cover, it makes it special in so many ways. Everyone worked so excitedly throughout the shoot. Suresh Natarajan our photographer I think is simply amazing. Shaan who has done my make-up and hair has worked with me for many years and has done a wonderful job. Anaita Shroff Adajania, Fashion Director of Vogue India is the styling diva, she has done effortlessly chic styling. And of course Priya Tanna, thanks for giving me something which will be a very special memory!”

Reminiscing her first shot ever with Sudhir Mishra (Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, 2003), a scene with no dialogue, a girl just waiting for her lover to come and meet her, Chitrangada said, “I was like, ‘What do you want me to do?’ It is so much about getting the character’s emotions and energy right, and putting it all together with perfect timing…”

Amitabh Bachchan ill again, may undergo CT-scan

Two months after his surgery for abdominal pain, superstar Amitabh Bachchan is ill again and has been suffering from “excruciating pain” for the last few days.

Big B is likely to undergo a CT scan at the Seven Hills Hospital today, where he had been operated on in Feb. this year.

“Last night…I rose from my desk to get to bed, but excruciating pain, stopped me in my tracks and I found it difficult to walk, to stand, to sit, to lie down. Quite horrendous!” he said in a late night blog entry.

While a pain killer managed to save the day, Mr Bachchan attempted to bear with the discomfort for as long as he could. He admitted that the pain had disappeared post-operation and he was confounded about why it had recurred two months after the surgery.

“I have no answer. But tomorrow (Tuesday), there should be one as I prepare for a CT-Scan after devouring a large bottle or bottles of that yellow fluid…” he said.

Mr Bachchan recently performed at the opening ceremony of IPL 5 in Chennai, and also appeared at the launch of Pune’s new stadium.

Sunny Leone reaches Jaipur for Jism 2

Finally, adult celebrity Sunny Leone, who is playing the the best woman in Pooja Bhatt’s ” Jism 2″ reached Jaipur to start shooting for the much talked about film. It was a beautiful hot mid-day when Sunny reached the location, a luxury hotel Devi Ratn.

Rather than relaxing in her suite, Sunny determined to take a around of the property, which is a modern replica of the Jantar Mantar. She was quite impressed, and praised Jaipur and the place she was staying in, and even the people all around.

Soon, Dino Morea, who is also the co-producer of the movie and Randeep Hooda joined her and they all chilled about. The stars spent their day enjoying themselves and chatting as the was planned for overdue evening time. Incidentally hotels, Devi Ratn and Devi Rasa have already been reserved for “Jism 2” shoot till April 10.

Yet to decide Esha’s wedding date: Hema Malini

After Esha Deol’s engagement with businessman beau Bharat Takhtani, everyone is eagerly waiting to hear about her D-day. But her mother and actress Hema Malini says they have yet to decided the wedding date.

According to a recent tabloid report, Esha and Bharat are preparing to exchange the wedding vows in July, but Hema told IANS: “Wedding dates are not yet confirmed. I know a tabloid has published the wedding dates for May or July. I would like to stay mum on this matter. Whenever the dates, printings are done, we will make an official announcement.”

Esha got engaged to Bharat Feb 12 in a personal wedding at her Juhu home. Daughter of Hema and Dharmendra, Esha began her tryst with Bollywood in 2002 with “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe”. She went on to function in movies like “Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne”, “Na Tum Jaano Na Hum” and “Dhoom”.

Last year, Hema tried to resurrect her 29-year-old daughter’s film career with ” Tell Me O Kkhuda”, but it failed to strike a chord with the audiences.

FIR lodged against Genelia D’Souza for duping

Newly married bollywood celebrity Genelia D’Souza has been accused of duping individuals in Hyderabad of their land. An FIR was lodged against her after a local court in Hyderabad directed the police to register a complaint.

Apparently, Genelia was the brand ambassador of a real estate firm in Hyderabad which reportedly deceived people after seizeing their land.

Genelia and five others have been held responsible for the scam of over 250 crore.

However, when contacted by reporters, Genelia’s spokesperson denied the actress’s involvement in the scam and said that she had just endorsed the brand.

Bollywood star John Abraham faces jail term for rash driving

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor John Abraham faces a 15-day jail term after a Mumbai court on Friday dismissed his appeal against a 2010 conviction for rash and neglectful driving.He was released on after posting a Rs20,000 bail.

He missing his appeal against the punishment in a Mumbai sessions court on Friday but will now appeal to the Bombay High Court.

The case dates back to 2006 when Abraham was involved in an accident while riding his Yamaha Hayabusa bike, which skidded and hit a cycle, injuring two people in suburban Mumbai.

Abraham had stopped and help the victims to medical center despite his own injuries.

The police charged Abraham with rash driving on a public way and endangering the life or personal protection of others.

Big-biceped Abraham has a vast fan following in India where he is also the company ambassador of bike manufacturer Yamaha.
